Golden Flame is the event brand from Cologne behind Golden Mask at the Flora, Spooky Flame at Halloween and the open airs at the Rheinterrassen. Events for 1,000 to 2,500 guests, afternoons by the Rhine or nights at the Flora – made by people who’d always rather be right in the middle of it. This is what we promise you.
Why we do this
We’re guests ourselves. We know the moment an evening comes alive: the light turns golden, that song comes on, and everyone around you feels exactly what you feel. Golden Flame exists for that moment.
It all started in Cologne. Today we celebrate at the Flora, the Rheinterrassen and Wartesaal am Dom – with people who love to party as much as we do. Every event has its own theme. The feeling is what stays.
How it feels
Afternoon by the Rhine, the cathedral across the water. A glass in your hand, and the dance floor fills up on its own.
The sun sinks low, the melodies get bigger. Every phone goes up. Then back down again, because it’s better live.
Now it’s a party: the hits everyone knows, a sax over the beat, fire fountains on the drop. The dance floor becomes one big circle.
It gets warmer, not harder: songs to sing along to, maybe a 2000s classic depending on the event, arms around shoulders. The evening fades out like a good film.
Indoors, at Golden Mask in the Flora, the arc is the same – just closer, darker, more intense. More on how the sound builds in our sound guide (in German).
Our promise
The venue, the light, the décor, the arc of the evening: we plan every event the way we’d want to experience it ourselves. You won’t notice it in one thing. You’ll notice it in everything.
House as you arrive, then it builds into a party: hits and sing-alongs, and depending on the event some 2000s too, played by people who know how to read a room. Plus live moments that only ever happen once: a sax over the beat, a voice against the setting sun.
Groups of friends, couples, girls’ nights out – and if you come on your own, you belong here just as much. What everyone shares is simple: they’re up for exactly this event.
Come early or late, dance up front or hang back, drink whatever you like – alcohol-free always works. Nobody pulls you in front of a camera, nobody checks what’s in your glass. Bring good vibes and you’re welcome. It’s that simple.
There are photographers at every event. A few days later the whole gallery goes online – for you, your people and that one moment at sunset. And if you like, you can add your own.
We want everyone to feel free and at ease with us – women just as much as men, crews just as much as anyone coming solo. That’s why every event has more security staff on site than required. They’re everywhere and there for you straight away if you need anything. For us that’s not an extra – it’s part of the promise.
And one more thing: we only announce what’s actually confirmed. Ask us anything and you’ll get an honest answer. We’re here for you – before, during and after the event.

Golden Flame is the event brand from Cologne behind Golden Mask (the masked ball at the Flora), Spooky Flame (Halloween) and the Golden Flame Open Airs at the Rheinterrassen. Between 1,000 and 2,500 guests celebrate at each event. Golden Flame is part of the FAYA world (Faya UG, haftungsbeschränkt).
In Cologne: at the Flora, the Rheinterrassen and Wartesaal am Dom. Lots of guests come from Düsseldorf and Bonn – both are around half an hour away.

The first Golden Flame was in Cologne in September 2023. Since 2024 we have celebrated the open airs at the Rheinterrassen and Spooky Flame at Halloween, and in April 2026 Golden Mask premiered at the Flora.
Entry is 18+, with an original photo ID. Most guests are in their early twenties to early thirties – from Cologne, Düsseldorf, Bonn and the surrounding area.
No, an event series without a club of its own. Every event takes place at a special venue in Cologne: Golden Mask at the Flora, the open airs at the Rheinterrassen, Spooky Flame at Wartesaal am Dom.
